2004 litter - 3 brindle males, 3 fawn females.
This breeding has created an exceptional out-crossed pedigree. Using a line-bred female (Cara is a product of a half-brother to half-sister breeding) bred to a UK import male, this litter has a pedigree containing 19 champions (Cdn, Am, UK) out of 30 dogs in 4 generations. This is a 63% champion pedigree! From the 3 generations on Cara's side, there are also 7 Sires/Dams of Merit out of 14 dogs. Sugar Ray's side is currently being researched for SOM/DOM dogs. So far 2 Sires of Merit (producers of 7 champion offspring) have been identified out of Sugar Ray's first 3 generations. These titles are different in the UK so Sugar Ray's owner has been sending e-mails to the owners of all of SR's relatives asking how many champions each dog produced. In the UK it is very difficult to get a championship, as most shows have over 100 Boxer entries (some over 1000) and the only dog who can earn a Challenge Certificate is the overall winner. A dog needs 3 Challenge Certificates to earn its UK Championship. With entries like this, a dog in the UK who earns even 1 of their 3 CC's is of excellent quality!
